WooCommerce and business hosting
An online store works harder than a brochure site. Every cart, checkout and stock update hits the database, and a slow checkout loses sales. Our business hosting plans give WooCommerce stores and busy sites more memory and processing power on Australian servers, with backups every day and a team you can call when an order goes missing.

The short answer
WooCommerce hosting is web hosting with enough memory and processing power for an online store's cart, checkout and database. WaTo Consulting's business hosting plans run on Australian servers with cPanel, free SSL, daily offsite backups and free migration, and its Adelaide team builds and supports WooCommerce stores as well as hosting them.
Why stores need more than basic hosting
Most pages on a normal website can be cached and served instantly. Cart, checkout and account pages can't, because each one is different for each shopper. That means a store leans on the server's processor and memory far more than a brochure site, especially during a sale. Business hosting gives it that headroom.
What you get
More memory and processing power
Higher CPU and RAM limits than our standard plans, so checkout stays quick when several people are buying at once.
Room for the catalogue
More storage for product photos, order history and the database as the store grows.
Free SSL for checkout
A certificate on every domain that renews on its own, so customers see the padlock where they enter card details.
Daily offsite backups
Orders, customers and products backed up every day and kept off the server, so a bad plugin update isn't a disaster.
Australian servers
Customer and order data stays onshore, and pages load quickly for Australian shoppers.
Free, careful migration
We move the store with its orders and customers, test checkout on a temporary address and switch when it's quiet.

Who it's for
- WooCommerce stores taking regular orders, or planning a sale that will bring a rush.
- Membership, booking and learning sites where every visitor is logged in.
- Business sites that have outgrown a basic plan and keep hitting resource limits.
- Shops whose checkout feels slow, or that have lost orders during a busy period.
How it works
- We look at the store. Product count, order volume, plugins and payment gateways tell us which plan fits.
- We copy and test it. The whole store comes across, then we run test orders through checkout on a temporary address.
- We switch at a quiet time. DNS changes when order traffic is low, and we check payments and order emails straight after.
- We stay on hand. Backups run every day. If a plugin update or payment gateway misbehaves, call us.
Why host your store with WaTo
- We build e-commerce sites too, so we understand stores, not just servers.
- Payment gateways, stock systems and POS integrations are part of our everyday work.
- When the store outgrows shared hosting, we can move it to a VPS without a fuss.
- Adelaide owned and operated since 2001, with a local number you can call.

WooCommerce hosting questions
Do I need special hosting for WooCommerce?
A small shop can start on WordPress hosting. Once you're taking regular orders, the cart and checkout need more memory and processing power than a basic plan gives, and that's what business hosting is for.
Will my orders and customer accounts come across when you move the store?
Yes. The whole database moves, including orders, customers, products and settings. We test checkout before switching and pick a quiet time for the change.
Is business hosting only for online stores?
No. It suits any busy site: membership sites, booking systems, learning platforms or a business site with lots of traffic and plugins.
What happens when the store outgrows this plan?
We move it to a VPS with dedicated resources. Because it's our platform, we plan and run that move for you.
Can you help with the store itself, not just the hosting?
Yes. We build WooCommerce stores, fix broken checkouts, connect payment and stock tools, and can look after updates through managed WordPress hosting.
What do the card rules say about my checkout page?
Since 1 April 2025, a shop that uses its payment provider's embedded payment form and fills in the simplest card self-assessment (SAQ A) has to confirm its site is not open to script attacks that could affect checkout. The PCI Security Standards Council says you can do that by protecting the page against harmful scripts yourself, or by getting written confirmation from your payment provider that its form does this when set up their way. We check which applies to your shop and help you get the confirmation or put the protection in place.
