Do we need a backup internet connection?
If the business stops when the internet stops, it is worth considering. A 4G or 5G failover can keep phones, payments and email going during an NBN outage, and it switches over automatically when set up properly.
How long does it take to get NBN connected at a new office?
It often takes one to a few weeks, depending on the connection type at the address and whether NBN needs to install anything. We start the order as early as possible when you are moving so the gap is short.
Will our phone numbers and EFTPOS keep working when we change internet provider?
They should, but they need planning. Phone numbers can be ported and payment terminals may need settings changed, so we check each one before the switchover rather than finding out on the day.
What internet speed does a small business need?
It depends on how many people are online at once and what they do. Cloud files, video calls and phones over the internet all add up, and upload speed matters as much as download. We look at how you work and recommend a plan that fits, not the biggest one.
Is business NBN better than a home NBN plan?
