Azure & cloud hosting in Adelaide

Move your servers and infrastructure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms — without the complexity of managing it yourself. We set up, migrate and look after cloud hosting for Adelaide businesses, so your systems run reliably, scale when you need them to, and you're not stuck managing hardware that's gathering dust under a desk.

What is Azure & cloud hosting?

Cloud hosting means running your servers, applications and data in a data centre managed by someone like Microsoft (Azure), rather than on hardware sitting in your office or a local server room. Azure is Microsoft's cloud platform — it gives you virtual servers, databases, storage and networking on demand, and you only pay for what you use. For most businesses, it means better reliability, proper disaster recovery and no more worrying about ageing hardware.

What we set up & manage

Azure virtual machines

Cloud-hosted servers configured for your workload — Windows or Linux, sized to what you actually need.

Cloud migration

Existing on-site servers and applications moved to Azure with planning, testing and minimal downtime.

Hybrid cloud setups

A mix of on-site and cloud infrastructure, connected securely, for businesses that need both.

Backup & disaster recovery

Azure-based backup and recovery so your data is protected and you can get back up and running quickly.

Monitoring & maintenance

24/7 monitoring, patching and performance management so your cloud environment stays healthy.

Cost management

Regular reviews of your Azure spend to make sure you're not paying for resources you're not using.

Who it's for

  • Businesses with ageing servers that need replacing — and don't want to buy more hardware.
  • Companies that need reliable disaster recovery without running a second physical site.
  • Teams that want their systems available from anywhere, not just the office network.
  • Anyone already on Azure but not confident it's set up efficiently or being managed properly.

How it works

  1. A quick chat. We look at what you're running now and what needs to move.
  2. A cloud plan. We design the Azure environment — server sizes, networking, backup and estimated costs.
  3. We build and test. The cloud environment is set up and tested before anything goes live.
  4. Migration. Your servers, data and applications moved across with minimal disruption — usually outside hours.
  5. Looked after. Ongoing monitoring, patching, cost reviews and support — and a real person to call.

Why WaTo for Azure & cloud hosting

  • A real person answers — not a cloud vendor's support portal.
  • We size your environment to your workload, not the most expensive option available.
  • Cost reviews included — we keep an eye on your Azure bill so you're not wasting money.
  • One local team for IT, web, hosting and more — one number to call.
  • Adelaide owned since 2001, supporting businesses across SA and Australia-wide remotely.

Azure & cloud hosting questions

How much does Azure hosting cost?

It depends on what you're running — server sizes, storage and bandwidth all factor in. We design the environment to your actual needs and give you a clear monthly estimate before anything's built.

Is Azure reliable enough for our business?

Azure runs on Microsoft's global data centre network with a 99.9% uptime guarantee on most services. With proper configuration and backup, it's more reliable than most office server rooms.

Can we keep some things on-site?

Yes. Hybrid setups are common — some servers in Azure, some on-site, connected securely. We design the mix around what makes sense for your business.

What if we want to move back to on-site later?

Your data is always yours. We can move workloads back to on-site or to another platform if your needs change — you're never locked in.

Ready to move to the cloud?

Tell us what you're running and we'll show you what it looks like in Azure — with a clear cost estimate and no surprises.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
