Money Machine 2 commercial coin redemption in Adelaide

The Money Machine 2 turns loose coin into accurate, reconciled deposits without tying up your staff. Built for commercial environments where coin volumes are high and accuracy matters, it handles everything from a retiree's coin jar to a full gaming floor cash-up. WaTo has been supplying, installing and maintaining Money Machine 2 units across Australia since 2001 — we know the machine, we carry the parts and we keep it running.

How the Money Machine 2 works

The Money Machine 2 is a floor-standing coin redemption system. Customers or staff pour mixed loose coins into the hopper. Enhanced coin discrimination sensors identify each denomination as coins pass through at speed, rejecting foreign coins and debris automatically. A 38cm colour touchscreen displays the running total and guides the user through the process. Counted coins drop into high-capacity bins — up to 140,000 in dual-bin mode — and the machine prints a receipt or voucher with the total. Transaction data is stored in memory and can be managed remotely via JetLink.

Why businesses choose the Money Machine 2

Reduce staff coin handling

Customers count their own coin at the machine. Your team spends less time on manual counting and reconciliation and more time on higher-value work.

Accurate every time

Enhanced coin discrimination technology provides precise denomination identification — no more disputes over totals or miscounted floats.

Handles high volume

Dual-bin configuration stores up to 140,000 mixed coins between collections. Built for locations that process thousands of coins a day.

Easy for customers

The 38cm colour touchscreen walks users through the process. No instruction manual needed — pour coins in, follow the screen, take the receipt.

Built-in debris handling

Foreign objects, damaged coins and non-coin items are diverted automatically. The count keeps going without interruption.

Central management

JetLink software connects multiple machines across multiple sites to a single management dashboard for reporting, balancing and diagnostics.

Money Machine 2 questions

Is the Money Machine 2 the same as the CoinMax?

They're different machines built for similar purposes. The Money Machine 2 features a large colour touchscreen and high-capacity dual-bin storage. The CoinMax is the fastest self-service counter at 4,100 coins per minute. We'll help you work out which suits your site and volumes best.

How accurate is the coin count?

Very accurate. The enhanced coin discrimination technology identifies denominations precisely. Suspect or foreign coins are rejected automatically, so the totals you get are reliable.

Can the Money Machine 2 handle all Australian coin denominations?

Yes. It's calibrated for all six Australian denominations — 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 — during installation.

What kind of maintenance does it need?

Regular preventive servicing to clean sensors, check feed mechanisms and recalibrate coin discrimination. We set up a schedule based on your usage — high-volume sites typically need quarterly servicing.

Ready to streamline your coin processing?

Get in touch and we'll recommend the right Money Machine 2 configuration for your business — no pressure, just a straight answer.

No two businesses are the same — so nothing we do is off-the-shelf. Every solution is built around yours, and kept simple.

Our story

Built in Adelaide, since 2001

WaTo Consulting was founded by John Watson in Adelaide in 2001. Over two decades it's earned a name for tailored work across a wide range of industries — helping businesses of every size run more smoothly, work more efficiently and grow steadily, without blowing the budget or disrupting the day-to-day.

Emma Watson (née Dickenson) played a significant part in shaping what WaTo became. She brought real expertise and a clear vision for where it could go — expanding the business, bringing in new systems and fresh thinking, and raising the standard of how things are done. A great deal of what WaTo is, we owe to her.

Today it's all tailored, never off-the-shelf — IT & Digital, Business & Web Hosting, built around what each client actually needs. Over the years those areas have come together under one roof: our IT & Digital, Currency, Business and Web work (through Whosts.au) now all sit within WaTo Consulting — one team, one standard, looking after the lot.

When you work with us, you're not a client — you're a partner.
