Managed UniFi: your network, watched for you
We install a lot of UniFi, because it just works. Wi-Fi, switches, routers and cameras all report to one controller, so we can see problems as they start. Put your site on our hosted controller and we watch it, alert on it and fix it.

The short answer
A managed UniFi plan puts your UniFi Wi-Fi, switches, routers and cameras on WaTo Consulting's hosted controller, where the Adelaide team watches them, gets the alerts and fixes problems remotely or on site. Plans are priced per site by device count, with options for VLANs, failover across two internet connections and a guest captive portal.
What does a managed UniFi plan include?
Every UniFi device on your site connects to WaTo's hosted UniFi controller. The controller keeps settings consistent, spots devices that drop offline, and runs load balancing and failover if you have two internet connections. Our team gets the alerts and makes the changes, so you don't need anyone on site who knows networking.
What you get
Monitoring and alerts
We know when an access point, switch or internet link drops, usually before your staff notice.
Dual internet and failover
Load balancing across two connections, and automatic switch-over when one goes down.
Separate networks (VLANs)
Keep staff, guests, phones and cameras apart for speed and security.
Guest Wi-Fi with captive portal
A sign-in page for customers or visitors, kept away from your business network.

Who it's for
- Offices with Wi-Fi black spots or connections that drop out through the day.
- Cafes, clinics and shops that want guest Wi-Fi kept apart from the business network.
- Businesses with two internet connections that want automatic failover.
- Anyone with UniFi gear already installed and nobody looking after it.
How it works
- Site check. We look at your building and what you have now, and can map Wi-Fi coverage with a heatmap.
- Supply and install. We quote the UniFi hardware, install it and set up your networks.
- Move onto our controller. Your devices are adopted by WaTo's hosted controller. Existing UniFi sites can move across too.
- We watch it. Alerts come to our team and we fix what we can remotely, or come to you.
Why WaTo for UniFi
- We've installed and run UniFi networks for years, across offices, retail and venues.
- Our hosted controller means no box in your comms cupboard to fail or forget to update.
- One local team for the Wi-Fi, the internet, the phones and the PCs on it.
- Adelaide owned since 2001.
UniFi plan questions
What counts as a device?
Each UniFi access point, switch, gateway or camera counts as one. Laptops and phones connecting to the Wi-Fi don't count.
We already have UniFi. Can we just join a plan?
Yes. We check the setup, tidy anything that needs it, and move your devices onto our controller.
Do I have to buy the hardware from you?
No, but we're happy to supply it. If you buy your own, we'll check it's suitable before installing.
